Befana

Each January 6th the Befana comes to Travazano bringing presents to the child who have behaved well during the previous year.  Those who have been naughty unfortunately wake up on this cold morning only to discover a bit of coal has been left for them.

The children of Travazzano are reminded of this with the following verse:
LA BEFANA VIENE DI NOTTE
CON LE SCARPE TUTTE ROTTE
A CHI E’ STATO CATTIVONE
PORTA CENERE E CARBONE
AI BAMBINI BUONI BUONI
PORTA DOLCI E RICCHI DONI
